Mind Over Matter.
HAPPY MONDAY! Sorry for shouting on a Monday but I have the MOST exciting news to share with y’all. For anyone that knows me or read my birthday blog, you know I’m not much into setting new year's resolutions because it’s just so, I don’t know, basic? Not that it’s not a great time to kick start your life, but it’s so predictable and, in my opinion doesn’t usually have a whole lot of follow through. Just because it’s January 1st doesn’t mean I’m all of sudden inspired to lose 30 pounds, use my blinker, and be a productive member of society. Honestly? It’s winter so I’m mostly just inspired to binge watch netflix, gain weight, and sleep. Motivating, I know.
So I set four personal goals for myself in July (my birthday month) and while two of them are not deemed successful with a tangible moment the other two are. SO *provides a drumroll for herself* you guys, I am now a SPIN INSTRUCTOR. After taking nearly 300 spin classes since June of 2017 I decided it was time to take the leap. So when one of my favorite studios in Dallas had an opening, I went for it, and here we are. This is where I tell you that if you have a dream don’t be afraid to go for it and that the only regret you’ll have it not doing it (you’re welcome for such unique and inspiring advice).
Today was my first official class, hence why you’re seeing this post now an not in anticipation of my first class. I’m officially, official if you will. Shout out to the amazing staff at Vital Fitness studio who took a huge chance on hiring me and gave me all the encouragement anyone could ask for to succeed. When you work for a place that encourages their employees to be true to themselves in every way, it’s pretty freaking awesome.
